Antenuptial Services

Our team assists prospective spouses in anticipation of their marriage with the planning and execution of an Antenuptial Agreement that is tailor made to their specific needs.

We consult with the prospective spouses, engaging what their specific needs and financial expectations are as a couple and advising on the appropriate approach to best meet these.

Based on our consultation, we get to work on drafting the Antenuptial Agreement. We continuously liaise with our clients during the drafting process to ensure that we always keep their needs top of mind.

Once the drafting of the Antenuptial Agreement is complete, the couple will sign it before our notary public and two competent witnesses at a time and location best suited for them.

Once the Antenuptial Agreement has been duly executed, we provide our clients with a Notarial Certificate of Confirmation. This certificate is used to satisfy the marriage officer that the couple has entered into an Antenuptial Agreement and will there for be married out of the community of property.  The certificate also serves as interim proof of the existence of an Antenuptial Agreement before the duly registered version can be obtained.

The final step in the process is to register the duly executed Antenuptial Agreement at the Deeds Office. Once registered, the agreement will become binding between the spouses as well as between third party creditors.
